Why is my access to the Purch link hijacking thread in Off topic being restricted?

Why is my access to the Purch link hijacking thread in Off topic being restricted? It isn't locked and it is in a forum I have full access to yet I am told I don't have required rights to view it. Off Topic is a public forum. Nothing in it should be restricted. If the thread needs to be restricted then it should be moved to a different forum. This is Moderator 101 stuff guys get with it.

It shows moved for me. My guess is it got moved to a forum that you don't have permission to view. Like the Moderator Discussions forum or something similar.

We can't view it because it was most likely moved to a Moderator forum to either:
1) be discussed, cleaned up and eventually moved back to Off Topic.
2) die a slow and withering death.

Depending on the Mods ultimate goal, it might have been cleaner to move the thread without a redirect.

Yea there was no redirect when I posted this it was just sitting there like a normal thread but inaccessible. I see that it has now been moved and has a redirect.

It was removed from the forum since there is already a thread in TFI about it as the OP of the moved thread was well aware. The redirect was accidental. Can I blame it on the page jumping from the late loading top ads? The powers that be are aware of the problem as well.
