Why is my 300 Watt (Sparkle) power supply's fan so loud???

I recently built a Duron system using an Elinght 7237 case and a Sparkle 300 WATT power supply. I gather that this was a good choice in terms of brand/power for powering my AMD based system, however I have one concern. The fan that's built in to the PS is really loud, compared to most any other PC I've been around. It fills up the bedroom that the PC sits in and can be heard as you approach the room.

Is this just the nature of the product? Are there any recomended AMD approved 300 WATT PSs that are known to be quiet? I hate to return a well received product, I can't live with this level of noise.

Any help would be greatly appeciated. Thanks.

I'll order the 550 when I need that much power :) but then I only use 3 fans in my case.. Doesn't that addtronics case have like 8 fans?
