First of all here are my specs:

Abit IC7
P4 2.8C @ 2.95
1GB Corsair PC3500
Radeon 9800 Pro
WD 7200 100gb

My best 2001 3D Mark score so far is 15500, form the reviews I should be high 16k low 17. I made sure I didn't have any filtering on and made sure it is running at he right speed so I don't know what is causing this. My 03 3D Mark is 5800 if it helps to compare, that seems a little more normal. ANy ideas on why the 01 score is so low?

I think they are all overclocking their videocards, that might explain the disparity in the scores. Have you tried benching your system using real games?

If it helps, here are my baseline specs:

P4 2.4
512 PC1066 Rambus
Maxtor 7200 80gig 8mb cache
Radeon 9700 Pro

No parts OCed.

I usually run in the area of 14,100. Could it be you have some background programs running? Whether it is a Anti-virus/Wireless internet/etc...? If I'm not mistaken, your board has onboard 6 channel sound. Have you tried running the test while disabling the onboard sound to see if makes a difference?

You have some nice specs on the computer, so I do agree the scores should be a bit higher, but 15,500 is PLENTY of juice for all the games out there. I'd say, its still within a reasonable figure though. Sometimes even 3DMark scores aren't indicative of real performance in games, so if all your games are screaming, I wouldn't worry too much over the score.

Of course someone will correct me if I'm mistaken but doesn't the HDD have something to do with 3Dmark scores? It would explain GhostRider's score as he uses a Raptor=the hellfire shotgun of ATA HDD's *Yeah I like comics  *

Here is my score if you guys want to compare...
Here it is

I'm going to go pick up a sound card , so maybe that will help a little without the onboard sound. I think the HD does have alot to do with it, but I can't replace mine right now. I just want my computer to be running at its full capability.
