Why is Muammar Gaddafi still only a Colonel?

Because a Colonel is not as stuckup as a general or generalissimo

at least that is the image he wants to portray.
 
Why'd he need to do that? It's not like some general would ever pull rank on him.

Got to give Gaddafi some credit. He's more courageous than General Tso ever was. That guy was a chicken! 🙂

He started out in the chicken industry until that bearded bastard from Kentucky stole his recipe. To this day Gadhafi's guests are treated to some incredible fried chicken whenever they visit the estate. Well, to yesterday anyway.
