Both teams are virtually in the same position(before you say East vs. West, realize that the Sixers have more wins against west teams). Both teams will barely make the playoffs and will see a first round exit. Also, AI is actually having a better statistical season than Kobe.

Personally I don't think either are valid candidated but its irritating why kobe is considered while iverson isnt.

Anyway, I hope Dirk gets it this year...Nash is prolly second in my opinion.
 
Dude, you know the Sixers suck this year, you don't need to go down to the FU Center everynight to see that. AI is having a remarkable season, but Kobe has had the stigma of needing to prove himself to the world that he is good without having Shaq on his team. AI on the other hand is doing what he usually does, only a little better this year. That's my take on it, I do think AI will be 'considered' in the end though, but no way he wins.

i still remember when jim rome was talking about AI's mom, who is also AI. so basically AI was talking up AI. and then AI's posse. good times.
 
AI will be considered an MVP candidate, probably won't win though. He's having one of the best years of his career.

AI has some "help" with Korver, and CWebb. Kobe has a guy that lost his game (Odom), a guy that MJ called a "little bitch" aka Kwame Brown, and Smush Parker.

Iverson plays with a 20/10 guy

Lamar Odom at this point is better than webber...it should be partly kobes responsibility to get him involved.

Also, the sixers have a better winning percentage against the west...so the conference argument is baseless.
