Isn't their Green Label a single malt

No, it's a blend including a single malt (Talisker). Drambuie does something similar, maybe it's them I'm thinking of that own one of the big single malt names.

I think I'm thinking of Chivas Regal :p

for years i didn't know Chivas Regal was a scotch, i thought it was a Mexican whiskey.

nothing wrong with blended whiskey.

you are aware that the title field can fit the whole of your title "Why is Johnny Walker so popular if none of their lineup is single malt?" aren't you?

I have a bottle of JW black... It's pretty good stuff. Not great, but definitely drinkable. I don't like the Red Label much at all though. Of course I still prefer a nice single malt as there is more character which I enjoy, and if you want to enjoy that aspect of it, then you have to go with a single malt. The blends are still good, but lack that bit of character.

Single Malt = Monster Cable

Are you joking?

It's my opinion. Single malts and monster cables might be better than blended and normal cables, but I really don't think they are worth the extra cost.

Monster cables are not better than normal cables, they ARE normal cables.

Johnny Walker Black was Winston Churchill's favorite scotch. Does anyone really need to hear anything else?
