without a doubt it is an awful piece of software.
What prompted you to reply to a thread that was dead for 2 years???
without a doubt it is an awful piece of software.
Necro thread huh?
I was able to convince my sister to go for a Nexus 7 over an iPad Mini, almost solely so I don't have to deal with iTunes. That bloated pile would almost certainly flop over on the parent's 2003-era desktop, and I don't want it on my laptop.
You haven't needed iTunes to work with iOS devices for years now...
No home wifi...
How is a nexus 7 useful without WiFi?
Actually, never mind, my brain already hurts...
Throwing stuff on it directly through the laptop. Primarily my sister just plays Minecraft or one of those creepy Evolution games on the thing, so lack of internet isn't a big issue.

Or he could use one of the 20 cables in a box he already paid for. Spending money is seldom the only, or best solution to a problem. That's Apple thinking.
WiFi is a plot by Apple to make people spend money?
Seriously?

My mistake for not giving enough detail.
The only internet I have is through my phone. Comcast is the only viable choice where I live, but due to past issues, they are not an option. I have several wifi routers actually, though the only use they provide for nowadays is for my NAS server.
For internet on the laptop, I just tether the phone to it. However, I'm still resticted by my data plan. As a result, the sister rarely gets internet unless she kisses up big time, or we go to a place with public wifi, also seldom. However, I have quite a lot of music and video on my laptop I regularly throw on her Nexus.
Edit: How bout we go back to bashing iTunes now.
