Why is it that I was cursed with such a little soldier while other men are blessed?

Are you East Asian? ;) :p

No, part Italian part American, my mom is from Australia.

Why? :(

Asians, other than Indians tend to have it bad in this category comparatively to the other races. We also tend to have the lowest production of testosterone in our systems. Although asians tend to score higher on math intelligence and IQ exams for some reason. Correlation, don't know, but it would make an interesting thesis. More likely it is a cultural bias. But the IQ exam is harder to skew even with cultural bias, not impossible though.

It's the chemicals in your brain. It takes some time for your food to digest, but even before that first bite the chemical reward from your brain is already coursing through your veins.

I bet if you had paid attention to your soreness you would have noticed it was gone before you were done.

So it is just Endorphins? Or is it that and something else.
Brain chemicstry is hardly simple, but basically it's endorphins and dopamine. Both of which are very much related and end to the same means: reward and pleasure.

I figured as much, but is there any other reasons?

The percentage of "taken" women in any given crowd is not a constant...it actually varies depending on your attractiveness;)

Any change in the status of the muscles themselves. Not just a chemical released by your brain to increase pleasure. I know it is a complex relationship because endorphins actually affect how the body reacts as well, and other hormones release to stimulate other processes, but what is that change in the muscle?

I'm pretty sure that until your body had nutrients to digest the only thing that changed about your muscles was how you perceieved them. Dopamine is the brain's pain killer and once the levels raised you stopped being able to feel the soreness.

I understand the chemicals and hormones that get released do to the foods themselves. Your brain does release stored energy when you eat. Sometimes even the same hormones that kill pain and make you feel pleasure trigger these releases. What I am wondering is if that was the case in this situation? I guess I will just have to go look it up.
