I've never heard of one made from a led pipe.

Lead maybe, but I doubt they even sell that any more really. Maybe for some odd use.

Lead pipes. Pb. Plumbum. As in lead poisoning.

My drain lines in my bathroom at my old house were made of lead. When I replaced them (and eliminated a drum trap), I had several feet of lead pipe.

Why would you use lead pipe? Because it's very dense.
