Why is it that my cd key only works sometimes on Win2k Server?

For some reason my key only works half the time. I just reinstalled and once again it is not working again. Real nice that I have to get this server going today.

Does w2k server or advanced server report the key back to MS?

I read somewhere that if you EVER cut and paste the serial key it will not work.. you have to type it in all the time.. letter for number

Only a guess, but are you doing clean installs or upgrades or what? It may make a difference. I know it did with the older serials.
