monogamy is unnatural
the sooner people realize this the sooner we can spread love to everyone not just one person. Whats better than having one person to love and be loved by? Many people to love and be loved by. Monogamy is dangerous cuz it is the cause of much evil and bad energy.(i.e. jealousy)

You know, although I'm female, I don't consider polygamy a taboo. Here's where I have a problem though if society were to contemplate legalisation: Well, notice that in many of the societies that polygamy is practiced, it's the men that have a upperhand! The women are considered backward and their rights limited. Do the flip side too, in a matriarchal society, the woman would be the dominant one and the men second class. Basically, it's hard for me to see it become effective whilst at the same time championing women's rights and without tromping men's. In the modelled societies you've referenced, I haven't seen where the women had equal rights. Hence it wasn't a problem in those societies. It would be a problem in our kind of society though. I guess it's possible, but not very bright.
