Why is it socially wrong for a guy to carry a purse? It would be so much easier...

Just what I suspected, Jezo is more feminine than I am. I don't carry a purse, and I'm a woman. If it doesn't fit in the pockets of my jeans, it goes in the pockets of my jacket. Too warm for a jacket? Leave it in the car. If I really have to carry something big, backpack.

I often carry nice shoulder bag my mother made for me and nobody has ever questioned it as "girly". I guess it barely passes as a non-purse, though it would look perfectly "girly" if a girl were carrying it.

When i was in the air force, some how two fads got started with only the black men.

1. Let either their left or right pinky fingernail grow out. (pissed off our superiors somthing fierce)
2. Carrying a small hand bag with all their stuff in it. 😕

Man-purse, and perfectly acceptable so long as you don't get it in a bright color or cover it in political party pins.

Yeah, those political party pins really scream "unmasculine."

They certainly do - especially when coupled with greenpeace and other such eco-terrorist organization logos.

Well that certainly wasn't a stipulation you made in your original post. In any case, what about believing in a cause enough to "wear it on your sleeve" is inappropriate for men?

I think this is why they made cargo pants.

Batman has a lot of gadgets. He would get no respect if he wore a purse. That's why he has a utility belt.

Just wear a messenger bag.

Note: Lots of stuff in non baggy-numetal jeans is ugly.
Note: Cargo pants are ugly.
Note: Messenger bags are not ugly, or gay (unless you get a pastel one).

Those messenger bags look like purses to me.
Come on, stop being a pussy.
You don't really need all that crap.
Men are supposed to be able to get by without lugging around all the accesories.

Sure, that's all nice and good in the corporate world - but when you freelance or are studying, you need things of your own at hand - calculators, books, cameras, things like that. Things that they don't make belt holsters for. But if you carry all that crap to social events (Except perhaps a camera), then you need to be beaten.

pockets, or messenger bag, buddy

i usually just stick the crap in my pockets...wallet, keys, cell phone
what else do you need?

get a simple messenger bag from old navy and you're set

in fact i might purchase one, despite my having a laptop bag already..

If I could carry a purse my life would be so much easier.. one bag to keep everything in..

Wallet, keys, phone, etc.

Then I could just take the purse everywhere and not worry about having to have so much other junk in all my pockets.

I call for a revolution! It's not fair a guy can't walk around with a purse and not be looked at funny.

i'm sure that people look at you funny no matter what you are carrying...
by the way, what the hell do you have to carry so much shlt around with you for that you need a purse?

I have a messenger bag to carry my laptop and a few books for class if i have tons of books to lug to school then i switch to my plain Jansport bookbag..

as for everyday normal crap... i only have a wallet, keys, & cellphone. They fit fine, sometimes the form of my cellphone stick out but that doesnt bother me.

I was being somewhat sarcastic.

Just carry a backpack if you have that much stuff to carry around.
