Samsung ATIV9 has been wonderful for my wife that tried just about everything along the way. It comes in 13 and 15" sizes. Fast and easy to upgrade the SSD as large as you want. No tough to open case. just 10 screws. Battery is also easy to replace if you keep your notebook a long time.

Battery life is truly 8+hrs based on my wife's use. Never pushed the limits.

The new Lenovo t450s looks promising. IPS Full HD screen, .8 inches thick, and I think a 2.5" drive for easy upgrade to a big SSD. We'll see when the official reviews are available.

My only issue so far with the 440s is the trackpad, oh and that the Realtek wifi cards in them are garbage so you have to be sure to get the Intel alternate.

Other than the trackpad, I'd love to own a 440s
