Why is it so confusing and hard to upgrade right now?

When I was getting the P4 2.26, i new it would reach 3ghz CPU, I was fine with that. But now, if I get FX55, how long will that last...no one really knows. Will it go up to 3.0ghz, dual core..
 
fx-55 will be a powerful processor and one of the most sought after for the next 2 years i think . . ..

3GHz dual core is impossible (for the near future)

sure, there may be an fx-59 3GHz, but thats why *insert inventor here* invented overclocking 😀
 
yea its getting confusing... and look at the new intel naming schemes😛 and then theres ati and its insane naming schemes..

What I find more frustrating is the fact that I still don't have my selection of nForce4 motherboards and PCI-e videocards...

I share your pain. I have a tight budget so I always want the best bang for the buck. Here's me just trying to update my video card . . . or something. :frown:😕My thread 😕:frown:
