replaced a SB live value with a gtxp and my cpu temp went from 49c to 44c...any thoughts...

i dunno, maybe the card is smaller??? seriously, i have no clue though...thats pretty weird that temps drop that much if the only thing you did was change the soundcard

everything is the same except i switched to the bottom pci slot because of that monster cable...

By moving things around you have changed the air flow within your case resulting in better cooling.
