Makes me ask, what other criminal demographic gets such widespread liberal support?

Yes, by all means let's enforce the law by exerting every effort to prosecute and jail all of those very wealthy business owners who continue to hire all of these illegals that wouldn't even think of crossing the border if these law breaking criminal big business people would refuse to exploit them.

edit - The Repub controlled Congress should amend all of those vaguely worded laws that big businesses wrote for themselves to hide behind so as to keep hiring illegals en mass.

Also I don't believe open-borders is a liberal issue. Most of the leftists who support open borders want them to qualify for educational or welfare subsidies, which is a pro-statist position and more aligns with the authoritarian left rather than the libertarian left.

The libertarian left isn't that different from the libertarian right, which more or less advocates no government subsides for foreign/temporary workers and freedom of movement and association. In fact if you look at Jill Stein's position it's that government subsides should come to U.S citizens first and foremost.

You know th, dems would love to get tough on immigration but guess what's blocking them? The Republican Congress that hasn't consented to Obama's nomination for judges at various levels including immigration courts. The Republican Congress who hasn't passed a real budget in 6 years. The Republican Congress who didn't vote on the biggest immigration reform bill.

You've got a whole lot of time on your hands now th, maybe you should put it to good use and start holding the people you vote for accountable.

Not living in Texas I give no fucks about immigrants. It never enters the conversation until politics. Don't see any illegals around me daily, don't even think about it. Not an issue that stirs me in any way except when I hear Trump stories of "mass roundups" reminding me of Nazi Germany or even what the US did to the Japanese during WWII. Now I've got a stance.
