Why is Fatburger so hyped up?

Went to Fatburger for the first time the other day
(one of the very rare east coast locations)

It was OK... but nothing like I thought after hearing it hyped up
by tons of Californians.


The burger wasn't very big, and it was averagely made.
Way better than McD's, Burger King, etc .. but about the same as Sonic.
Plus, it was slightly expensive for fast foood ($7 for a combo)

The fries were the worst though. We got skinny and fat fries.
Both were way overcooked ... almost burnt and hard


Nothing touches a a good bar/restaurant burger, but I've had better
fast food ones. My fave is a local place called No Baloney. Excellent $5
burger combos ... plus they have fresh cut fries, always better.

I ate there once a year ago, didn't realize that there was hype surrounding it until you mentioned it. It reminded me of the burgers they sell at bowling alleys.

I think you have to go to one that has good turnover - as in they cook continuously and its sold continuously - then you won't have that problem.

You are also right in saying it is overpriced though.

2.99 meal deal is tough to beat(burger, fries, drink). Their chicken isnt bad. I would rate it a step above mcdonalds since they actually cook the meat while you are there.

Just wait till they have their next promotion of "Buy a Monster Thickburger and get 25% off your next qualdruple bypass" coupons.

Sometimes they serve it with a free sample of Crestor pills.
