Why is everything different in EUROPE ?

Why is US so badass?

* driving on the right side
* Power surge 110 V
* football !
* baseball !
* Power plugs rectangles
* miles
* pounds

and many more.

I think its more of like clash between the top notch nations. US being a super power sets its own standards but don't you think it would better if all nations followed US standards?

Very few countries drive on the right side. Most (if not all) of mainland Europe drives on the same side as us.

No. The metric system is so much more sound, the only reason we don't change is stubborness and wanting to be different or feel superior in some way. The whole world uses metric. We don't. Who is more likely to change? The whole world, or the only superpower?

I was referencing his beginning post. Didn't really think about the situation. In fact, ALL countries drive on the right side of the road. Only a handful or so drive in opposite directions on the right side of the road.

wow... never left your home state, have you?

Everyone other than the Brits drive on the right side of the road. 220V is more efficent in terms of energy loss (google on the physics of it) and english unit system is uttely worthless (how many inches are there in 10 miles?)

If anythign it's the US being stubborn about the unit system...even Brits now use partial SI system (for weight and volumes and such)

You could just use centimeters, meters, kilometers, etc... 100cm = 1m. 1000m = 1km. 100,000cm = 1km. See how perfect that works out?
