I was kind of amused at the fact that no one picked up on his sarcasm on the "I thought only earth had water" statement.

Yeah, I got one, it's a really really sad story which should be a lesson to all.

I met patty at church. It was love at first sight. Her enthusiasm for God and the Love for Jesus Christ really really attracted me to her, and made me do more for my faith. We got married after a year of Christian dating (No touching or kissing). But soon afterwards, she starting keeping company of some degnerates. Some of them weren't even Christian. Thus began her downfall. She started questioning the existence of God, and like most aetheists and agnostics, she started becoming very happy with this life. Since she had strayed for the righteous path, and neither mine nor the preachers efforts could bring her back, I divorced her.

I'm not sure that continually lying/being sarcastic is what I'd consider "owning" people. I don't mean that in a nasty way, but I just don't see it.

When does Sarcasm become plain lying? His sig has his "current GF" with pictures of known internet porn stars. Is this considered sarcasm? Or just lying.

Even if it's his attempt at "sarcasm" thats a pretty long way to go. Is it me, or is that just a bit pathetic.

Honestly I'd rather be gullible with a life than to have to go to such lengths to try and make others look bad and be part of a bad joke.

I've personally never noticed his post before or read any of the ones other than the ones where I said his "GF" is a porn star. So i dunno if hes being honest or not.
 
i didn't know what tommy's posts were like before, so i can't say if he's being sarcastic or not. if he is, then all i can say is that i didn't realize it.

It's a good trolling idea, but very poor execution. He's just not condescending enough to pull it off properly.

I'm surprised anyone was fooled to begin with.
 
As sully said, and I've said before in other threads, horrible execution.

It should have come on gradually. You don't go from arguing against religion in religious threads, to being a zealot in one week.

Well personally i don't know this Tommywhatever to know what his past behavior was like to see the incongruences in his current behavior. But i know there's been enough theist fanatics around here to think his behavior fits in quite well with those fanatics.
