Is there any reason that elections are always on Tuesdays? It seems that having it on a weekday makes things more difficult for many people because people have to work or go to school which means they can only go vote during certain times. And those times are the same tiems everyone else that works and goes to school trys to vote so lines get huge.

WHy do we not vote on a Saturday when most people are off work and off school. Or why isn't election day a holiday when everyone would be free and it can even out what time you go.

Who picked Tuesday?

You ask too many questions... you might end up getting answers that you don't want. Don't meddle. There are plans beyond your comprehension at work here.

the polls are open 7 to 7, and there's early voting. i don't see what the problem is.

Because government workers cannot be bothered to work on a weekend.

Because people pay less attention to stuff on the weekends, and many people leave town.

I think it is because many people are hung over on Monday so the next day is Tuesday.
They want you to have a clear head.
