lets say you just ate mcdonalds for lunch. you decide to work off that 2000 calorie spree.

why is that bad?

why is it better to go workout, then eat?

It's actually good to exercise right after you binge eat to avoid food coma and bloating.

I always try to go for a brisk walk if I overeat.

Nothing really wrong with going to the gym on a full stomach, you'll need the fuel to work out effectively.

its dumb, that food hasn't been matabolized yet. You're not working it off.

I don't know why it's bad, but I hurt a lot worse at the gym/running after I eat, so I don't do it. I don't need any explanations. ;)

if you are still digesting, then that means a large amount of your blood is being used to absorb nutrients from your intestines, which means less blood for your body during exercise which will lead to cramping

Losing fat is a matter of burning more energy than you consume over a long period of time. It's pointless to talk about what happens to any individual meal.

this was taught to me in 1st grade. don;t eat and exercise. it takes blood away from digesting, body gets tired and other factors. i'll look up some article on this in an about an hour if you really want medical facts.

what does it matter? Whether you do it now or later, you're still only burning x amount of calories.

Don't worry about it, do what feels comfortable to you. Eat a decent diet, watch calories, train hard, watch results happen, you need not worry about minutiae.

Indigestion. Digestion is part of the parasympathetic system, the relax system essentially. If you go to the gym you're firing up your sympathetic system, which is going to divert blood away from your stomach. Also why people lose their appetite or get a stomachache while fighting at the dinner table.

It's been said, but there's not really any point in exercising right after a meal. Losing weight is about energy in/out over time. You might as well just go exercise later in the evening or the following morning.

mc donalds puts you on a lag...so u don't have an as effective work out as you can have.....and what sense does that make why not just not eat the mc donalds in the first place...plus loosing 2000 calories in work out for an average person who doesn't work out extensively haha

Is he talking about cardio or weights though? For weights you'd want to digest first to have the energy to lift.
