To reduce the fat population. Reduce fatties from fat. Cheese is fat. Fat is no good.

I don't understand this. I would rather eat less of the stuff then not eat it at all or worse use "low fat" substitute.

I am not a big cheese eater but not eating it is out of the question.

3 bucks is pretty cheap. its not intimation cheese is it?

Also carries real cheese and some of it is really good. We currently like some of their cheddars. I don't ever get shredded, though, so can't comment on that. If you have one in the area, you should give it a try. They tend to have great deals on certain products--like meats and dairy, but it varies throughout the week.

Read somewhere that some grated cheese has fillers in it. Not sure how prevalent that is or in what cheeses.

Because you are not one of the initiate elites :

"hotdog" = boy

"cheese" = little girl
"pasta" = little boy
"ice cream" = male prostitute

I always buy the grated cheese at Costco and a 5 pound bag is 12 bucks. but at Kroger a 5 pound bag of shredded cheese is 23.99.

Folks who aren't as price conscious must be buying. Or the management is actively trying to turn over that sales space due to poor performance. Or somebody has a sweet heart deal with the produce manager for near expiration cheese.....
