I take a liking to his 2nd Piano Concerto as well, and those piano trios were good. Serkin does the 2nd Piano Concerto justice.

Brahms sounds like a mere mortal desperately clinging on to bits of Beethoven because he couldn't write anything better or most importantly...coherent....the only time he followed the KISS principle was his Lullaby.

Having the harpsichord be one of the main keyboard instruments helped create the environment to create his sound. So, Bach also translates to guitar....

Thus, rock can also sound quasi-Baroque at time.

Her harmonies are on point in all places. Even in the more subdued Music Box album, that aspect did not disappear. From chaos comes order with her writing. "Make It Happen" is a primer on how to attack notes differently on each repeat(might be a bit of a bore though for non-nerds).

Will take a listen. Hatred levels of Brahms actually are miniscule compared to the Billie Eilish hatred I have.
