BR fit is kinda big for Asians. I'm Asian myself. 32x32, size M for most things. I could pull a small shirt off for a lot of things. Isuppose their new slim fit is a bit better, but overall their fit is larger. Goes with Gap too. However, the conservative professional nature is a reason for shopping there, but if you wanted trendier stuff that fits an Asian build better, Express and AX are better choices. H&M also.
because white ppl are too fat and need to shop at old navy
I think Banana Republic is aimed at suburbanites who own a cottage, a boat and an Audi. (People with less money shop at the GAP and pretend that the quality and clothing is similar when it's anything but.)
BR has some decent sales every few months, which is great for picking up office-appropriate clothing like this.
It's like A&F for adults.
That being said, their clothes actually look good for the price.(unlike A&F)
Dude, Gap and BR makes all of its stuff in South America or something anyway.
Sweat shop is sweat shop.
I grew up with some Asian friends who are all bigger than me.
And I'm 5'11 and 190lbs, so it perplexes me about other Asians. I thought growing up in the US would make up for the lack of nutrition of the parents?
*shrug*
Depends, some of my asian friends grew up in traditional households eating rice and asian cuisine everyday... I would say average 5'9 and around 150lbs. Then I have the other asian friends who are more Americanized eating burgers, steaks, junk food everyday and they're more like 6'0 and around 200lbs.
I ate whatever as a kid, and my parents are like 5'2 and 5'0. They cooked Asian cuisine (or what they claim to be "cuisine") so I doubt it's that.

Not many brands out there who make clothes that fit like Hollister/A&F. Express for Men and 'Guess' are good too but not consistent in fit.
Or perhaps the "bigger" kids preferred the food with more caloric value due to having a larger body. Unless your small Asian buddy was malnourished as a child, the fact that he eats healthy will not make him shorter.

Old navy only goes up to 2XL ... so fat people pretty much can't shop there....

Okay, I'll bite.
What exactly is an "asian build"?
do you mean clothes with 12" sleeves that make anyone look big
I am not even remotely big and can't fit in alot of A&F clothes because of this.
I normally wear a medium to small because I'm short so maybe that could be it. I could wear there larges but they are too long so it looks ridiculous.
