Why is a lion considered the King of the Jungle?

Because when lions have children they have monkeys hold them on top of giant rocks and all the animals bow down and $hit and then they all sings songs which everyone some how knows.

I don't know about a hippo or a rhino but I'm willing to bet a lion could take an elephant anyday.

EDIT: not to mention Wild cats are the only species that kill just for the fun of it (or so documentaries tell me).
