Between the two...about $4500/month. AFAIK, you can't work and collect SSDI. (the only reason you get it is because you CAN'T work at all...in any job.)

I'm Local 3 and they let me change my investments. Do you get this option or are you set with what you have?

I joined in 97 so you are probably under something different. I can change my investments online from riskier profiles to safer but less profitable.

Do you work under the AGC contract, or do you have a contractor-specific contract?

I know the folks who work in "company shops," such as Holt Brothers and Peterson have MUCH different contracts than those of us who "work out of the hall" on the AGC contracts.
I used to be a business agent and never heard of an AGC pension plan that had investment choices...only a few of the shops that offered defered comp plans for their people.

I'm pretty sure my USW retirement is/was just 30 and out with no age limitations.

I started in '74 (23 yrs old) and retired after 31 yrs with full benefits.

I'm required to start my SS at 62 and that will combine with my pension.

I fall under the master agreement. I know of these "lesser agreements" and that isn't me. I"m dispatched from the hall and work for who ever is paying.

Gotta love being a whore... Just a whore out of the hall.

That was me for most of my career...I might work a couple of years for one contractor...a few hours for another, but no loyalty to any of them...only to myself.
