Here is a differant type of review . But I believe the link above also in another topic did many of the same test . The HD3000 numbers look a little low . As did some of their other benchmarks. These look pretty dang close to correct.

Because SB is already for sale over there. Generally people there aren't afraid of breaking NDAs or laws, whereas over here in North America they would get their asses whooped in court.

it looks like desktop SB 2500k will only get 6EU.
this is plain stupid, most who buy a SB 2600 will happily get a stronger graphics card. Anyone who doesn't pony up for SB2600 has to put up with 6EU.

so basically - for mobile SB is 12 EU down to 2core SBs, but for desktop, 12EU will just not be used!!!

normally Intel puts stronger/cheaper chips on the desktop, this is like intel is fighting with one hand behind its back - FTC settlement to blame?

Intel says that the Premium Graphics will have "Up to 100% gain". It looks like from the benchmark they were comparing to their own HD Graphics. Anandtech's chip might have been using 12EU + Graphics Turbo(yes he says Turbo was disabled but graphics could be seperate).

Probably because mobile and desktop markets are rather different when it comes to graphics.

no point putting the 12eu on the desktop units if everyone in that market will be using discrete as well. only need enough igp horsepower to post bios and install windows. anything else is wasted electricity.

mobile and low end will most likely be only running integrated, so it needs to be comparable to whatever the lowest performing /cheapest dedicated card can do.

And I think that's a great decision by Intel to use the 6EU version in desktop CPUs. If you want to game on a desktop, you will get a discrete card anyway. PCs are highly modular and upgradeable. Laptops not so much, so it only makes sense to give them the most Intel has in terms of GPU power. Not to mention this thing looks as fast as an all-round laptop (beats the GT210M easily it seens). It won't break world records, but beating a HD5450 and being close to a GT220 is great IMO.
