Why ins't Bestiality illegal in every state?

i believe animals are like babies... all they know is food, sleep, pooping, and pain...
and they definately cannot defend themselves.

so if its ok to have sex with animals then it should be ok to have sex with babies.

as far as im concenred people who practice bestiality should be amputated from the waist down.


i have pets and eat meat..

An animal wouldn't do something if it thought it was painful.

There's no need to prove it's cruel; the fact they cannot consent trumps anything else. I share many libertarian views but this is going a bit far.

Animals also know that they want to mate with something, preferably a member of their own species of the opposite sex.
I've heard that female cats in heat will act all funny around their owners, like they're waiting for mating to happen. Is that consent?
Some animals can either learn ways on their own, or be trained to communicate intention. My one cat will rub his front paws on someone's leg if he's hungry. If he wants a pet on the head, he holds out his right paw in the air, and spreads out his "fingers" a bit, sort of mimicking the kind of movement he expects out of one of our hands. So, in theory, a cat could communicate consent. I just wouldn't want to have to be the one to figure out a way of doing so.
