Just thought I'd tell you I've been to Orlando, but it was like yonks ago. I cought the train there, from Birmingham Alabama (that's where you had to change trains when coming from New Orleans). I spent a week there with family friends doing all the tourist stuff (Sea World, Disney World & every which bloody world). Then we got on the train & carried on to Miami.
I did notice they had a bit of a suburban sprawl thing going on in Florida (will there be anything left for wildlife?), but I can't talk, coming from the sububan sprawl of Sydney - a leafy North Shore Old money establishment suburb though, however I'm in a newish 'post war' bit that cuts into rainforest like bushland (there were even Lyre birds arround till us humans moved in complete with domestic cats).

I prefer the country, but my wife's relatives live here and I have two brothers in Florida as well. I'd be in Maine, or Wisconsin, or Western N.C., or any place but this God-forsaken oven. But from what I've seen of Sydney, I'd say it's a beautiful city. Can't be too bad there!
