great album. but then again im biased, as i usually enjoy either del tha funkee homosapien or dan the automator's work.
Dan and Del can do no wrong. Especially together.
i agree. kind of funny this thread showed up, i was just listening to dan's 'wanna buy a monkey?' yesterday. its been a couple of weeks since i last played it and i just felt the urge to listen to it. next day, this thread.

edit: perhaps its a sign. maybe i should put in handsome boy modeling school or lovage on the drive home today,

3030 way past the millennium, check it out
Yo, Deltron thunderforce, ain't no other source of sunlight
Two ton mic, leave you toungue-tied
Runnin amuck with technology with no apology
Shoutin out to my colony with third eye physiology
Millennium past apocalypse is all I spit
Make you swallow it - your weak style, I'll abolish it
with nuclear rockets they glued to your optics with sci-fi
Unsettlin, man and metal blends
Underground chillin with the Mole Man, and his whole fam
Inhibit bacterial growth, material wrote
Impenetrable, incontestable, indigestible intelligence
Never let a computer tell me sh!t
It's rapid innovation, penetratin
Artificial life forms, who bite songs
I'm a buy a vest, lie is next, then I'll flip the bio-techs
Right into the wireless; your third eye is hit with psoriasis
The mightiest, Deltron Zero
Traverse and purge the travesties that tempt your earholds
The area of distribution, lifts the clueless
My flow is like, liquid oxygen
Rip it often with specific impulse, increasin thrust
Grease the cuts - unleash a cluster of thoughts I muster
I talk to touch ya, and rupture commercial communications
Convert solar energy, into imagery
In the mind's eye, blindside the contagious
With radioactive isotopes to decay them
Atomic mass they small as fragments
I magnetize the avid lies
My radiation shields reflects, rejects Decepticons
who take the truth and stretch it long, while I bless a song
Next level incredible, metal melding
Flexability and my engine is never failing

All your rhyme histories combined couldn't violate
the Prime Optimus operative
Use my hydrometer to see how warm you are, watch me form a star
Hydrogen turns to helium when I shine
Ridin 'em revealin 'em leadin 'em to the vacuum
Interact with tunes in my digital citadel
Critical pivotal put the mental ****** on you
Spit infinity, hiden energies too dope for our planet
Star spannin, slammin hymms with
mechanical limbs, scanning your lens
with cosmic rays, you'll all get played, your brain's inferior
I hit the lateral and posterior
My science is eerier
Ionic bonding for your moronic pondering, meet the armorines
My micro machines, might throw your team, into paralysis
They not talented, just a malady
Worry 'bout a salary, creative casualty
Couldn't defrag my power density intensity
Nonequivalence, nine hundred Newtons
Crush you like croutons, you plus Houston
Hiero's like dipoles inside a silo
Turbulence ten-fold, never simple
Defies accepted methods development most unique
Paralyze central nervous when you close to me
Interstellar void fills with color, appears to bubble
and split into four like amoeba
Inhabitin planets with, grandiose boast
and coast like Silver Surfer, feel the purpoise
High velocity, verbal atrocities
Fire resistance, better hire assistants
My pistons glisten ultra, high performance
Inside your private quarters where I fry your components

Good disc, I practically wore it out years ago in my commune of hetero life partners days, and I don't typically go for hip-hop. Though I'd have to agree, 2112 is a better candidate for best scifi concept album IMHO.

Del is old school. He hasn't released a new album in a while, but he does make some pretty fvcking crazy music. Here's some good hits from Del/ his crew known as "Hieroglyphics" for people who haven't heard of them:

? Good Hygene
? Positive Contact
? Mastermind
? Halo *
? Fantasy Island *
? Soweto
? Madness
? Times keeps on slipping *

Just to name a few ones...

hahaha a rap sci-fi album???
sounds pretty stupid

You are dumb.

Its an amazing album. And with a lot more substance than 99% of the rock out there.

yeah, i'm sure

Why don't you actually take a look at it instead of mouthing off about something you know nothing about?

Yea I thought so.

because i'm at work, fvcktard.
and i have yet to hear any kind of rap that i like. i'm pretty sure i never will

Well then stay out of the thread because you have nothing to add except ignorance.

And go listen to some emo.

1 - i don't like emo crap
2 - i just listened to about 4 tracks of deltron 3030 and i was right. its the same old rap except its set in the "future". i don't see whats so special about it? same old garbage.

Then you just don't like rap in general and have no reason to even post other than to say rap sucks.

Gorillaz were sooooooooo much better when del the funky homosapien was directing/producing them. Deltron 3030 is a pretty good album too, it's what REAL rap is all about. not the pussy stuff you hear about killing cops and getting crunk on the radio these days.

I like some rap, only some alternative and older rap. Just De La Soul and a few other small names.

But anything heard on the radio these days is thuggish crap.

he's currently putting the finishing touches on his next album, 'the 11th hour'. in fact, it should be coming out any day now.

Del the Funky Homosapien never directed/produced the Gorillaz, that was Dan the Automator.
Del just rapped in a few songs.
I disagree with your original statement though, I think it's very hard to say if Gorillaz were better with Dangermouse or Dan, they are both so different and so good.

I pulled this CD out of my rack this morning to listen to while on the drive to work and I realized that this is probably the best scifi concept album ever created. Clever lyrics, interesting musical production, engaging theme, it's all there.

Read a few reviews, buy the album and then come back to this post and thank me for the recommendation.

I listened to it this weekend, and I definitely like it. I'm not into a whole lot of rap, but I enjoyed this.

I can't imagine it being better than Ayreon's projects, but I'd give it a listen.
