Looks to me like the PEACEFUL muslims are the rare radical extremists and mainstream Islam is all about killing or converting 'infidels'

Looks to you? Well, other than the newsfeed from CNN and the likes, what else do you know about Islam or moslem ppl in general? As for dragging bodies through the street, many Iraqis view Americans as invaders, not liberators and hate them with a passion. Don't have to look far for such act of barbarism, a bunch of white supremacist drag a black guy to his death a couple years back.

Most Moslem govt in the world condemn and express sympathy over 9/11. The rest of the moslem population simply couldn't care less, just like Americans couldn't care less while hundreds of thousands of ppl are getting massacred in the genocide in Rwanda.

What do I know about Islam? Enough to know there there is very little being done by muslim people to counter the negative publicy as of late, because I haven't seen anything of the sort. To me, this spells support of the actions of their 'islamic brothers'

Muslim governments condemn and express sympathy over 9/11? Pervez Musharraf expressed sympathy for 9/11 and he can't walk in his own country without attempted suicide attacks by his own people. Oh, few more points lost in favor of Islam.

As far as a white supremacists draging ANYBODY to their death, .... not if I happen to be witness, not if its simply because of skin color.

Of course some acts, like taking children hostage, deserve worse...

This is an argument against religion, not race.

I could care less if your Islam and hate America. That is your opinion, and you are entitled to that so long as you don't ACT on it in a way that infringes on someone elses free will. But more and more I see actions, expressed by more frequent suicide bombings on a wider range of targets all over the world, more Islamic ritual decapitations, etc.

Just saying, working with the limited knowledge of Islam that I have, it's not a pretty sign for what Islam represents thus far, and the more I learn, the more it reinforces my negative opinion of it.

I'm not saying everyone go run out and beat up a store clerk for being Islam or anything like that. Ultimately it is the individual who is responsible for their actions.

Just because the media doesn't report it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Do you trust anything that you see in TV? You said you don't try to polish up what you see, its unfortunate that you really don't see much beyond what the media is feeding you, nor did you even care to try. Tell me, how many moslem ppl outside the US that you know? Don't have to look very far back to see the support though. The family of the last victims of Al-Zarqawi even stated they have received plenty of support from the moslem Iraqis that work with them.

Race and religion are deeply intertwined, and all kind of barbaric act happen. The Hindis killed hundreds of Singh during the Golden Temple massacre. The Catholic IRAs kill plenty of innocent victim in their fight against the Anglican Britons. The Orthodox Serb butcher countles moslem Bosnian. Does that mean we've to condemn all of them because the action of a few?
