As far as muslims go, I cant stand their religion. how can you follow the words of a ignorant fool who liked to have sex with kids?
That is so fscking ignorant, judging people of a completely different time and place with the customs of your tribe and time and place, and arrogantly thinking that automatically makes you superior and capable of condemning. Mohammed didn't liked "to have sex with kids," he had an arranged marriage with a 14 year-old. In a time and place when such a thing was common, customary, and expected.

You want to contribute something intelligent, then do so. Otherwise, shut your bigoted sh!t up.

Mr. Mohammed also took a 9 year old girl as a sex slave, which I highly doubt was customary or expected. Maybe common, considering the types of people we're talking about here.

 Ummm, what types of people would that be? Catholic priests?

Touche :) Actually I was talking about the raiding parties that Mohammed took part in, though.

Mohammed was a crusader?

Revisionist history. Crusaders killed for god, not money.

Of course they did, "believe in the god of mercy and peace that has sent me to gut you like fish".

Could you point me to the chapter that would justify the crusaders actions, i mean, if they did it for god, they had to follow the words of god, or?

The Quran is nothing more than a text written to justify the acts of its creator (Mohammed, not god). I could go rob a bank and write a book saying god told me to do it, but that doesn't mean that the book is true.

Edit: Just to clarify, I think Christian crusaders were just as foul and devoid of morals as Mohammed and his followers.

Ausm

Looks like a few people are tryin' to imitate him, but I think he wins hands down.

I also think that out of respect for the atheists, agnostiscs and the like, they should start using those statutory warnings they put in front of novels and movies, you kno', "All characters are fictional.....blah,blah,blah"

Vote to make it a sticky. This has gotta be the funniest thread ever. This is like in a comic book convention, "I think Supes' can kick Batman's ass", "Nah, I'm sure she got a boob job after issue#35007".

The OP must have had a bet with the guy in the next padded cell that he could get 200 responses in a day for a load of BS, from lot of normal people. Seems to me, he's gonna win.

Muslims are fine. I live in detroit area where we have the highest arab population in america so I know many. People who think Islam or Muslims are all bad are obviously totally ignorant. Its not like there havent been abortian clinic bombing christian terrorists, but that is no reason to say all christians are bad.

True, but if you compare percentages it becomes evident that one group is more radical than another.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm not denying that either group has a large population that doesn't engage in these types of acts. When I said group, I mean the radical groups within their respective religions.

Perhaps now (questionable), but you might want to brush up on your history.

The problem with religion is not religion itself but the fact that people who otherwise claim to be believers use their religion to divide themselves from the rest of humanity. i.e.:
"We are Baptists and good, they are Catholics and bad"
"We are Christians (and thus good), they are Muslims (and thus bad)".
A very unChristian attitude if I may say so, but innately human nature.
"Us and Them" -- be warned, God doesn't see it that way.

I am quite aware of the history of the two religions. I was not speaking in the past tense when I made that statement. Islam has had no reformation, but it is in dire need of one.

Another conspiracy theory. When all else fails blame the Jews.. So Mo, tell me, how many democracies exist in the middle east? What percentage of the population in the Muslim middle east lives above the poverty line? Why do countries with the best resource in the world still fail to create prosperity for their populations? Why are women still treated like dirty rags? Why are most terrorist acts in the world commited by Muslim extremist? Let me guess, its a Jewish/Zionist/Israeli conspiracy, right????

And so you are getting near the point Vic made many posts up, that religion can be used for good and evil, it is not the religion, it is how it is interpreted and used.

You oversimplify the Koran and i don't know why, if it is meant to get a rise out of me you can forget it, i am Jewish.

Uhm, actually, I got it from his wife.

Sahih Muslim Book 008, Number 3310:
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 88
Narrated 'Ursa:
The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).

Im sure she was anti-islamic though, she just didn't tell anyone for fear of being stoned to death.

Instead of jumping to conclusions about what I have to say, simply based on the fact that you don't like it, why don't you educate yourself by firing up a web browser and seeing for yourself.

Oh, and for the record, I don't care for Israel or Zionism.

Major Ownage!

So, i will go in hell cause by now i havent done much for my religion.

THERE IS NO TECHNICAL OR LOGICAL MISTAKE IN THE HOLY QURAN.

BAN ME!!! or Kill me I'll rather die but to take insults against Muslims.

Jews are the ones in the perfect spot BUT as a muslim i know that this world will end when all the population is muslim.

This is why I hate the muslim religion. This from a man who says he is not religous and is requesting tolerance toward Islam. No all muslims are not bad people but they are misguided and although they may not actively support the extremist agenda they feel that it is somehow fulfilling a destiny in which the world will be all muslim.

I'm annoyed enough, that I'll save Citrix the trouble. Look more closely. Matthew 27:28 clearly says that Jesus was robed in scarlet during his final hours. John 19:2 clearly says that he was robed in purple. Was Jesus given vinegar as in Matthew 27:34 or wine with myrrh as in Mark 15:23? How about the creation story that fundamental Christians love so much? Genesis 1:2 says that earth comes into existence completely under water but Genesis 2:4-6 says that earth was dry land first until the streams were caused to run upon it. Genesis 1 says that man was created last but Genesis 2 says that man was created first.

A good general description of where the Christian Bible really comes from can be found at this PBS site
