Edwards, like Obama, trounces the living bee-jebus out of any repub candidate excepting McCain .... where they are each basicly even with him and HRC trails by 4-5%

I believe that the repubs know that, too, and that is why in the Florida debate they 'annointed'' HRC as the dim candidate and railed on her. If the race includes either Edwards or Obama, the Fat Lady sings ... early

And as noted above - I think the general consensus is Edwards is taking votes away from Obama - not HRC - and that by staying in the race he prevents HRC from gaining any exceptional momentum through the primaries ...

Bolded part^ That doesn't make sense. Is it a typo?

HRC is leading in national polls among dims: 46%
Obama is second around 34%
Edwards is clocking in around 14-15%
Unsure around 5-6%

When people are asked specifically to choose between HRC and Obama, HRC goes to 52% and Obama to 45% ...

3% said Fk 'em both ... lol

The Clintons are brilliant at political jiujitsu.

either real front runner would have to be insane to pick Edwards as their VP. he's less than useless... he got *crushed* by Cheney in the VP debate and he couldn't even carry his home state for Kerry.
I'm glad you remember that. Although Bush got cremed in all three by Kerry, Edwards got beaten worse by Cheney. It was something else to watch, he was like a first year law student arguing with his professor (who happens to be a supreme court judge). I'm surprised he didn't cry. I bet it showed a lot of people what a small-timer he is and evidently they have very short memories because some still support him.

I think you need to see a psychiatrist.

I don't see Ron Paul dropping out at all.

It's a hunch but I see Huckabee being first to bail of the remaining lot, actually. RP will stick around until his defeat is clinched on Feb 5 at least.

if the Huckster has a really poor showing in Florida, and his polls for Super Tuesday stay where they are now, it wouldn't surprise me if he dropped out and endorsed McCain.

I think we can put a fork in him. I cannot be the only one to see how glaringly he's out of his depth now. Hell, I believe even Edwards would beat him in a debate. In fact, I'm sure he would. And that's awful.

OK, I'll suggest you meant to say what I'm posting below:

If Edwards is taking away votes from Obama by staying in the race, he is only HELPING HRC, not harming her.
