I blame SADs - seasonal affective disorder.

Happens every winter for some sites.

-edit- normally associated with less sunlight and shorter days.

Forums being down a lot = a FORUM ISSUE

Once you go into the right forum for forum issues, AKA Forum Issues, you will see a stickied post at the top explaining everything.
Here is a direct link to make this even quicker and easier. http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=42&threadid=1730600&enterthread=y

OK, it's the wrong forum granted. However, your link does not answer the question of 'why' ?

Actually that stickied post gives no explanation, simply states that the issue has been resolved.

Then maybe you should ask this question over there where it belongs.

there was a previous thread in FI that was deleted but basically summarized the problem: the AT forums were targeted in multiple DOS attacks over the past few days.

hth.

Does it look like we have behind the scenes access to what's going on with Anandtech? Ask Jason in Forum Issues, although he's already asked people to stop asking this question.

Then maybe he should sticky the thread that answered the question instead of having deleted it

You've got it all wrong. It was gravimetric interference from a nearby ion storm, thus causing the warp core to vent plasma...

If you're referring to me, I did not ask a question. I was telling BurnItDwn that he did not answer the OP's question ;)

Come on Nik, you're smarter than that

Or are you ? ;)

The reason it was down because windows 2003 doesn't work nicely and should install FreeBSD 6 hosting :D
