i hear many people said their enermax PS won't work on epox board, can someone explain why? is it because the 3.3v or 5v....

and what's the best PS for this 8kha+ if enermax not good? do I need to look for a very strong +5v rail or something?

thanks in advance

Using Enermax 431W at the moment with no problems with the Epox 8KHA+,there was some reports over low 5v rail with Enermax`s on some older Epox boards, but I get 4.98v on average with mine so no problems there.

If you want other good brands then look at Antec or Sparkle PSUs.

I had heard that also. I am currently using an enermax 350watt on my 8K7A with no issues. I also get a constant 4.98v.

Is the the Antec 300w PS powerful enough for this board? I just found a good deal on one and just starting to find things out about it, PS seem to be an issue with the board.

Buck, that psu should be fine as long as you aren't running a lot of expansion cards and drives.

I had the Antec 300 watt PS with just a GF2-MX card and a NIC and wouldn't boot about 10% of the time. Had to press reset and this was NO overclocking :( I thought... why have a 8KHA+ and not overclock it? ...so I bought the Antec PP412X 400 watt PS and now run my 1.4 TBird at 10 x 150 FSB. Anyone want a good deal on a 300 watt Antec PP303X ;)
