Why don't we teach Canadian in American schools?

Canada is one of our two bordering neighbors and we teach Spanish, don't we?

Is it because we don't respect our bretheren from the North? Are we deliberately dissing them and relegating them to the scrap heap of second class world citizenship?

It shouldn't be too costly to add Canadian to the list of academic subjects our educational institutions are already teaching. A two year course in high school along with another three years in college should prepare even the most average of students to apply the proper rules of grammer as regards the word "Eh".

What do you think? Should we continue snubbing our Canadian friends, or should we open our hearts and learn how to communicate with them?

I communicate with them by speaking English.

History eh? I dont think he talkin 'bout that.

There should definetly be chapters that discuss

- the usage of "U" s
for example: color vs colour, honor vs honour, etc.

- pronounciatin of the letter "Z" should also be covered

- pronounciation of W as "double-you" instead of "dubya" (you know who you are 😉 )

*edit* removed a few typos

after your 5 years of Canadian grammatical usage you could go for a masters in colonial formal British grammer?

We have several Canucks in my company, we communicate without any problem. But their accent is so funny sometimes (the way they say "house", "about", "eh?", etc.). Well, they laugh at us, too (when we say "dude" almost as much as they say "eh")
Dude, it's funny, eh?

Excuse me, but HappyDog...Canada's shouldn't even be a real country 😉 I mean not many people live there and it's only cold! I think that Canada should just be part of the US. Hehe...just what I think 😀

! I think that Canada should just be part of the US. Hehe...just what I think

Why would the U.S. want to annex Canada? We'd have to put up with those crazy French in Quebec trying to seceed every other year, not that I'd mind. It would be kind of scarey, though, having another France physically attached to North America.

Canada has two officially declared languages, English, and French... The US has ZERO!!!

Oh, and the US has tried on seperate to invade Canada on several different occassions... We lost every time...

Why would Canada want to be a part of the U.S.? They would have to put up with those redneck, inbred hicks from the states.
