why don't we see a game console with a multi-disc changer?

CD, DVD players have multi-disc changers... why not consoles? Would it really cost that much to implement?

An Xbox with a 5 disc changer would be incredible.

And before you say it, yes, I am lazy.

It'll run you $130-170 to replace the DVD drive on a 91 day old xBox, you wanna make it $180-250? And reliability would take a dive. There's no real added value.

Ugh...as much as I like my Xbox, it can't perform as a "media center" and I wouldn't want to pay the increased costs.

I once had a 5 disc change and the fact is I think they're pretty useless.

I like my 6 cd changer in my car. Beats the heck out of having to switch a cd everytime I want to listen to a new one when I am driving and should be concentrating on the road

However, I have a single disc dvd/cd player and that's good enough for me in my home theater set up

Being able to store the games on the hard drive would be more efficient. Oh wait, you can already do that.
