Why dont we have CNG in the States

As some of you know I'm on Vacation in Pakistan, & they have CNG for cars they have gas too but CNG is better now why dont we have it in the States?

Well since natural gas reserves are at almost an all time low and prices are quickly rising, this sounds like a super plan.
