Why don't "they" make oscillating dryers?

How hard can it be?

I'm sure this has happened to you before, where you toss your bed sheets, duvet cover, etc... into the dryer and expect those to be dried when you want them, only to find a giant wad of soggy mass when the drying cycle is finished.

It shouldn't be too hard to program it so that ever few cycles, the dryer would spin the other way? Come on people, get to it.

It's meant to tumble dry clothing. Giant bed sheets are the exception. I doubt reversing the rotation would get the sheets to open up to any meaningful degree.

If you pay attention to how you put the items in the dryer, that won't happen.

They're not very efficient...but when space is limited...they're slightly better than nothing. (pretty common in bigger RV's...and a few hotel rooms)

^ This. Happens to me every once in a while anyway, but it's not a regular occurrence. Shake out the sheet so it's not still all wadded up when you throw it in the dryer. The more common occurrence, for me anyway, and harder to avoid, is something small like a pillowcase or hand towel getting caught up in the corner of a fitted sheet. It's annoying, but not as bad as the whole sheet staying damp, and well worth the convenience of not having to deal with (really old) old-school flat bottom sheets.

Bed sheets really aren't a problem if you have a ceiling fan. An hour under the ceiling fan dried my sheets quite thoroughly when my dryer broke. Just lay the sheet out over the bed, turn on the bedroom ceiling fan, and come back when you are sleepy.
