Why don't the Big-3 sell autos directly to consumers?

They would have test drive cars at the store and then you would pick out the options and color you like and it would be shipped there in a few days.

And if you are not completely satisfied take it back for a complete refund just like you would with any other product from Walmart, just make sure you have your receipt.:D

Daewoo sells cars directly

and failed in the US. Ironically, GM bought a piece of this company. I think people want to see the car, sit in them, and drive them to get the feel of the car. So, dealerships will probably have a place just as brick and mortar stores will always have a place most commodities.
