I'm a web manager at a non-profit and started a new project. When I sat down with my manager and the VP to discuss the project I noticed some items on the proposed site map - "Daily Video Blog," "Weekly newsletter," etc.
I asked "who's going to make the videos every day.. Do we have a contract with a producer? Also, where's the newsletter content coming from?"
I went through the same exact thing early this year and only now, 10 months into the project, convinced people that the reason site X looks so static is because no one is approving the invoices I submitted for content creation!
What boggles my mind is that this isn't limited to the web - do people say "let's publish a newspaper!" without thinking of where the articles will come from?
Do people assume that blogs write themselves and daily video content magically appears?
