Why don't OEM computers ship with WinXP 64bit??

Since Dell and other OEM systems have 64 bit CPUS, why dont they ship w/ XP 64 bit?

There are still probably too many devices without drivers for x64...

Bingo. When driver support gets better, it will happen.

The fact that most OEMs use custom-made, proprietary motherboards and they STILL aren't shipping with XP64 says boatloads, eh?

I own a full, legal copy of WinXP64 (long story ) I'm not running it. I'm going to hold onto it until next year, when the mainstream begins the move to 64-bit computing.

Win64 is useless to most people. If anything, Windows Vista will be when the transition to 64-bit happens

I still wonder why I switched to winxp 64bit...
Should've stayed with my 32 bit...
No driver supports for webcams/mouse/somegames/alcohol120%.
