Hey all, everything was working GREAT, decided i would throw Red Hat 9 on my spare harddrive, well install goes great and all... Tell the install which mouse i want to use blah blah blah...

Anyhow, no go, went into system settings and changed the mouse, no go... Should i try basic mouse?

Well i then decide to hop over to XP, no my mouse isn't detected nor working in XP?

What the hell?

Here i am navigating on my keyboard :p

Help if ya can!

Thanks!

Out of 6 available (2 of which are USB 2.0 ) i could not get power or a signal..

I do now have a PS/2 mouse working, i'll let you know if it works in Linux.

OK WTF.

The PS/2 mouse works in Linux, go figure... But now i am starting to believe my USB devices all suddenly died at the exact time of the Linux install...

?!?!

My scanner is not being detected anymore, my printer is not working... WHAT THE HELL..

Is it possible to download USB drivers or something of that sort?

hmmm... thats interesting! This means that somehow the Linux install nuked the windows drivers????

Thought it might have been Linux trying to mess with the BIOS.... but I guess not!

I think the same thing happened to me. I installed linux and tried to print, i think it just made a test print or something. Then I went back to windows and it wouldn't work i even called tech support (i never do). Then as a last resort i tried it on a different computer and it worked, and also worked on my computer again like it was "activated". My usb mouse worked through out though.
