Why don't AMD users worldwide stand up in support for AMD?

Man what's with all the hostility... AMD is needed so Intel can't charge 1991-1998 high prices again, where $500 was an entry level pentium and they went up to $1500 and most were $800-$1200!! Support AMD? Not if I can help it, I always buy their lowest margin chips and make them as good or better as thier high margin ones. Business is Business after all, and my business is to save and invest in appreciating assets not the grandchampion of depreciation, the computer.

In general I always recommend AMD for two reasons; Superior Price/performance and to keep intel honest. Sometimes you can't like thier mobile platform...although I'm still looking for a turion/lancaster laptop review.

I support whoever has better technology to better cater to my needs. AMD's A64 processors are best when it comes to gaming, and their Athlon processors were the best "bang for the buck". So I use it in my gaming system, and my gf's "net surfing" system. When it comes to mobile computing...AMD doesn't have anything close to the Pentium M/Centirno platform, so I supported Intel (until recently, when I sold my Dell laptops). Neither AMD or Intel (for now) can run OS X, so now...Apple (and Freescale) have my support as well. 🙂

We should all band together, write "AMD" in gasoline in the lawn of the White House, and set it on fire. That'll teach those intel bitches!

AMD all the way.

As soon as AMD can get into the OEM market, Intel is going down.

Then AMD will be the dick head company that no one likes and the cycle will start all over again.

Remember Nvidia's run at 3DFx?

I can't believe that apply went with Intel! What the hell, AMD never gets a break. Tho, apply doesn't really sell enough volume to make a dent. But I support AMD I still have a few machines around that are AMD, next system I build may be AMD that is if they are still around.

I think Apple's primary concern is CPU availability, that would be my guess why they went with Intel.

Actually, I believe that Apple chose Intel for their mobile processors. Especially since IBM couldn't deliver a G5 for the PowerBook.

My exact thoughts. Intel are crooks whome use deceit to win the hearts of their customers.

DIE AND BURN IN HELL INTEL.

l support em, l buy new cpus, new vid cards n new ram , so they [all companies in the industry] have support , but its a lawyers world in court, and intel do have alot of cash to splash , so the best support we can give AMD is to buy there cpu s over intel cpu s , new, my fx 55 cost about 1655 bucks here in oz brand new, with a 900 dollar asus x800pro new, there making a good profit from it and thats the best support we can really give.
