I would eat more rice but I need more ways to prepare it. Right now I use soy sauce some days and butter and salt on others. How else can it be prepared?

You can fry it, or you can season the water when boiling it (when uncooked). Hell, you can do anything you want with it.

BTW, soy sauce & rice? Hmm..

I eat tons of mexican rice (at least 2-3 times a week). as well as long grain seasoned rice. (rice a roni chicken and rice) I'd say you have a misconception about most americans. (we have one of the broadest diets of anywhere due to our multi cultural history.

if you have a hard time in the restroom, you will know it's the rice. it get really worse if you eat only rice + soy sauce, or 90 percent rice, 10 percent everything else.
laxative pill are for this very reason. fried rice is a little better because of the grease added, kind of like a rusted engine with oil helping it to lubricate. 🙂

this post made absoultely no sense...

toant103 was referring to the high quality of the rice cookers in the $150 to $250 range and how they will last quite a long time.

Where the hell do you get off saying that Asians think they can do everything better? Are you Asian? If you are, you have no right to speak for the majority and if not, you are just plain ignorant.
