Why doesn't Windows file and printer sharing ever work correctly?

Will any of this work on a mac? My roommate's dad just ordered him a new ibook for christmas. How hard will it be to share my files to his ibook?
 
i have a similar question...i have my music on itunes on my computer at school...is there anyway for me to stream teh music to my homecomputer? itunes does it within a lan...

So what? Even if there was a way, you're using the college's bandwidth to stream music to your pc via your internet connection. No network admin is going to allow that, especially with a college network.
