I'd take the widescreen res personally. More natural for movies and games then 4:3 imo. But I'm in England and most of our tv shows are in widescreen.

i agree, i'd rather have the 16:9
of course, i have a 16:10 monitor, so i am biased to widescreen
Yup I have a 16:10 monitor also. 16:9 would be too wide for a pc monitor resolution, well actually I would prefer 16:9 but they don't make them so I don't really have a choice either way

actually most of our prime time tv shows are in widescreen in the us too. HDTV to bootisn't it just some funky dvd resolution in the uk?
Yeah we are getting HDTV via Sky later this year or next year. It won't be for a few years until we all get HDTV programmes though. Sky Digital picture quality on most of the 'main' channels (meaning not some obscure music channel or some C rate channel
Our family tv isn't HDTV so it wouldn't make a difference to us. But it would be nice to watch stuff in HDTV when we get a new TV as the old Sony 32" Widescreen is going strong 6yrs+!

Most of your comedies aren't funny!
Most aren't funny but what we do have is funny though.
Your reality tv shows (The Apprentice, The Contender etc) are MUCH better imo then our versions. Our versions look very cheaply made and not as 'showbiz' as your versions.
