Why doesn't Newegg allow payment with multiple cards?

I have one of those VISA rebate cards I'd like to use, but it doesn't cover the entire balance of my prospective order.

I'm almost 100% positive they can. A friend of mine had the same problem and I think they straightened it out over the phone with multiple cards.

Couldn't you buy gift certificates for yourself using those visa gift cards, then make your purchase with those NE gift certificates + your other credit card for the remaining balance?

that's what I did last year.

as a christmas bonus, they gave everyone 5 x $50 amex gift cards... I used them to buy amazon gift certificates.

Yep, it's really the best way to use them. Sometimes I do use it once as a store, but you can make the e-certs any amount over $5 at Amazon so I use the leftover amount there.
