Opel for example.

They look a hell of a lot better than anything chevy/pontiac/buick/saturn/etc is putting out right now.

Remember this is the same company that thought the SSR was going to be a popular truck. Nothing they do makes any sense. Although I know they're starting to improve on it, they make some crappy ass cars too. My Grandpa actually managed to return his Saturn LW2 (whatever the big wagon is) under the Lemon Law because he had so many problems with it. And my mom's 1999 Malibu is just a piece of shit. The passenger airbag cover has creaked since the day we got it, my dad already had to replace the wheel bearings on both front axles at 30,000 miles, and now the freaking gasket between the block and the header on half of the V-6 needs replaced in FIVE YEARS.

Name 1 car that GM has made in the last 10 years that isn't ass.

Well you're obviously a biased fanboi retard, so your opinion doesn't count.

No, not really. I love chevy cars. It's just the don't make anything nice anymore, IMO.
50's - awsome
60's - awsome
70's - part awsome, part choked, later on starting to get pathetic..
and they never really recovered.
Trucks are still good though, I suppose.

Corvette C6-R? Chevy silverado 3500HD 4x4 crew cab with durmax diesel?

Corvette is excluded, because it isn't even related to the other models they sell, IMO.

And they still make nice trucks. This thread is just about cars.

Impala and Monte Carlo are two examples.

I'll give you the Impala.

But now - the Impala isn't even an Impala anymore.

Hell, I even liked the brick 80's impalas, and they had a face only a mother could love.

So why is the Impala "not an Impala" anymore?

Those cars are HORRIBLE!

The Cadillac XLR is DAMN sweet. So is the new Z06 Vette which is sweeter than hell! Other than that, I really don't like any other GM cars. And this is coming from a guy who can get big discounts on GM cars.

An impala is supposed to be a two ton boat, RWD, with a V8 and room in the trunk for 6 dead bodies.

The new impala has nothing in common with that.

GM already has a number of global platforms that will underpine some European models. Hell, the new Saturn Sky and Aura appear to be rebadged Opel versions of the kappa and epsilon platforms.

Ah, so you're one of THOSE guys. Well, I'm someone that likes to see progress in technology. Call me crazy.

No! I have no problem with "progress" just don't call it an impala. call it a "<insert new name"

I'm not sure.

I do know that Opel / vauxhall have a couple plants in germany, as well as in poland, belgium, spain and the UK.
