Why does WINMX eat up 20% of the cpu cycles when idle?

This is starting to get annoying. I decide to leave WinMX going, since i have a few queued files. I precede to load up ra3, and what do i get? Sub 125 fps frame rates!! It's terrible!! And when i check the task manager, what do i see? TWENTY PERCENT usage of winmx, when it's sitting idle!! What is this? :disgust:
